The founders of Aegicem grew up in southern Louisiana and central Florida. During this time they lived through devastating floods and hurricanes, which were always a looming threat. This is not a unique experience. Hundreds of thousands of homes across America are damaged or completely destroyed each year by hurricanes, earthquakes, tornadoes, and wildfires, impacting millions of people. Later in life, after accumulating experience in construction and engineering, they decided it was past time to tackle the problem of producing extremely safe homes at reasonable prices. Their approach has been to leverage today's most advanced technologies to economically produce homes able to withstand any man-made or natural disaster. Additionally, they developed methods that have laid the ground work for utilizing emerging technologies.
